New Camera!

Hello all people of the earth!

My dad just randomly bought me a new digital camera, and a professional one at that! He's been buying me expensive things without me even asking for them lately...oh well. I'm not complaining!

My spankin new cam is a Nikon with 18-55 mm lenses. I'm trying to learn all the features, modes and zoom-ness that I can do in order to take really good pictures. I have fallen in love with it! I'm bound to name it very soon!

(Maybe Sarah Palin? XD Melissa must be laughing and shaking her head)

Anyways, above are two pictures that I really liked. Most I took didn't turn out that great, simply because I had the wrong settings and lens zoom, again, I'm very new at expert photography stuff.

Photo Shoot

Decided to take out the ol' digital camera out and attempt to take 'professional-looking' pictures. So I hired my oldest foster sister to be my 'model' :P. We both had fun and learned a lot of stuff.

Opening Remarks

Hello everyone!

I'm fairly new at this blogging business, I'm hoping to use this as a tool to share my work and find people who share common interests with me.

I'm mostly an illustator, and I heavily lean towards realism. It's a skill I developed at a young age and continue to improve and work on it. I also do some photography (I'm no expert though!) and currently I am trying to define my style as an artist, trying to break away from realism and try to get my illustrations and cartoonism to have more of my OWN style.

I'm also a writer, currently working on her first novel which, if it gets published, will be the first of a series of 5-7 books I plan on writing. My writings is in the Children's Fantasy Adventure genre, though it can be read by all ages.

There, now y'all know a little bit more about me. :)
